Everyone carries a story
Every story needs a refuge. At Storyflames you will find life stories from people aged 65 and over, stories that have not previously been told, documented or made visible. We are a project set out to preserve the human memories of older people, and we want to help carry everyone's voice out into the world before it disappears.

About us
How the stories are collected
The site is available in Swedish, English and Arabic, and the stories in Suroyo as well. Each one is published in the language it was told in and translated from there.

We listen
Our art and writing educator Malkon Malkon interviews on location, at the library, at home or by video call. The storyteller chooses the language.

We write it down
The text is edited and written up, and everyone who shares a story must give their approval before anything is published.

We translate
Every story is translated into Swedish, English, Arabic and Suroyo.
